Just days after signing his contract with Russian Premier League team, Sibir, Steeve Joseph-Reinette jumped straight into action making his debut against PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Europa League.
This was the toughest possible start of the French defender’s Sibir career, but it proved to be a successful one. The team went on to win 1-0. The second leg in Eindhoven will be played on 26 August. Can Joospeh-Reinette’s team cause a major upset by knocking out one of Europe’s elite clubs?
Steeve Joseph-Reinette developed at the French National Football Institute in Clairefontaines and was a member of the France U19 National Team. He signed for French Ligue.1 team Guingamp in 2000 where he played until 2007. Joseph-Reinette is a member of the successful generation of players which came out of Guingamp in that period, including Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda.
