Dalibor Stevanovic has signed with Ukrainian Premier League club, FC Volyn.
The Slovenian international is expected to go straight into the squad for the away league game versus Dynamo Kiev.
The move comes after Stevanovic received a large number of contract offers during the summer, and ultimately decided to join FC Volyn on a short-term contract, enabling him to consider contract options again in the upcoming transfer window.
27-year-old Stevanovic started his career with Olimpia and later moved to Domzale with whom he finished second in the Slovenian Premier League twice. His impressive performances in the UEFA Cup in 2005-2006 attracted interest from the big leagues in Europe and he was transferred in a record deal for Domzale to Real Sociedad in La Liga.
Later he moved to Alaves and after a short spell in Israel moved to the Netherlands where he spent the last two and a half seasons with Vitesse scoring 8 goals in 55 games.
He has been a member of the Slovenia National Team since 2006 including the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
