Babatunde Luqmon Adekunle has joined Macedonian Premier League club Pobeda on a short-term contract. The promising young Nigerian nicknamed “Lucky” received several enquiries from clubs in other countries during the transfer window. However, those have failed to materialize in time for the start of the new 2006-2007 season and Lucky has opted to stay in Macedonia until the end of the season.
Under the terms of his employment he is free to move to another club and Pobeda have agreed to fix his transfer compensation in line with the salary paid to the player.
