English goalkeeper attracts interest from continental club

19-years old English goalkeeper, William Viner has moved to FC APEP.

Viner who has previously played for English League 2 club FC Barnet has become one of the very few English football exports.  Usually, the traffic of players is going into England rather than the other way around, but Viner hopes that this will prove to be a good step in his career.

The 6’4” (1.93m) tall goalkeeper started his career in the Hendon FC academy located only a few minutes away from the home of English football, Wembley Stadium.  He later signed with Barnet FC with whom he made his senior debut at the age of 17 during the 2004-2005 season.  In the same season William Viner became Nationwide Conference Champion with Barnet, winning promotion to League 2.
