Macedonian International, Dusan Savic, has signed for FC Vardar. He marked his debut yesterday with a goal in the 5-1 win against Napredok in the opening game of the 2007-2008 season.
Having won the Macedonian Premier League title last season and making his UEFA Champions’ League debut with Pobeda this year this move may be seen as something of a surprise, especially given the fact that Savic was one of Pobeda’s star players. But FC Vardar has traditionally been one of the giants of Macedonian football and with the addition of Savic and several other players this could prove to be a big year for the club.
